We bring to life our dream to be the Best Beer Company in a Better World through Our World. Our Responsibility. Our goal is to connect our efforts to a collective responsibility we share with our employees, consumers, wholesalers, retailers, law enforcement, elected officials, educators and other partners. After all, these are our roads, our kids, our neighborhoods and this is our Earth; and it is our obligation to work together to help support our communities.

Budweiser, Bud Light and other brands also take ownership of our Corporate Social Responsibility efforts by creating consumer centric programs for adults. These programs enhance brand sponsorships and through our work, we reach consumers with impactful messages at the point of purchase and at a variety of beer-drinking occasions, including sports games, concerts and other events.

At Capitol Beverage we strive to share this message with our local consumers in three main areas, alcohol responsibility, environmental, and community support.  Please take the time to read about some of the programs that help us to communicate this message.

We support out local community through charitable donations, event sponsorships, volunteer projects, and politically lobbying.

Designate A Driver

We encourage our consumers to drink responsibly by designating a driver.  We have partnered with Minnesota's Premier Designated Driver Company DDI-Drink and Drive Intelligently to ensure our employees and consumers are getting home safely.  Driving You & Your Car Home. Safe.

We also partner with Anheuser-Busch to participate in Global Be(er) responsible day each year.  We encourage our customers, consumers, and employees to take the pledge to designate a driver on that day and throughout the year. 

Our efforts continue by encouraging adults to pledge to drink responsibly and share their commitment with family and friends. This is our world, and these are our roads and our families, and it’s through our collective responsibility that we all help to keep them safe.

We believe that every business has a responsibility to create a healthier planet for generations to come, a corporate social responsibility. 

We strive to lessen our environmental footprint at our warehouse, in partnerships with the breweries we represent, at each special event we sponsor, and with our employees through water conservation programs.

One of these programs strives to increase employee consciousness of their water use. Each year our employees participate in World Environment Day by pledging to save water by skipping shaving, shortening their shower, or lowering the amount of water used to brush their teeth.

Family Talk

Family Talk About Drinking is an underage drinking prevention program created by Anheuser-Busch in collaboration with certified parent coach MJ Corcoran. First launched more than 20 years ago, Family Talk was renovated and expanded in 2011 to become a program that parents can turn to throughout the parenting process, no matter how old their kids may be.

Family Talk isn’t a set of rules. It’s simply a different approach that helps parents more effectively use the tools they already have.

Family Talk is a supportive community. On Facebook, Family Talk allows parents to introduce new ideas, share stories, ask questions and get answers from qualified experts.

Family Talk is an ongoing, universal tool. As kids grow up, parenting roles may need to change. Family Talk covers strategies for every age, in a way that’s useful for every family.

Good Sport

Budweiser and Bud Light’s Good Sport is a communications, training and management program designed to help stadium operators, team owners and concessionaires promote positive crowd behavior by encouraging fan responsibility at sporting events. The program is activated in partnership with 95 teams in Major League Baseball, the National Football League, National Basketball Association, National Hockey League and Major League Soccer.

Capitol Beverage partners with the MN Wild and MN Twins to implement this program for each home game.

Operation ID

Our beers are made and sold to be consumed by responsible adults of legal drinking age.  To ensure this is happening we offer ID training classes, drivers license booklets, and We ID materials to our customers.
